Position - Graduate Equine Physiotherapist

Equi-Formance is an equine physiotherapy and rehabilitation service provider that specialises in performance issues in the leisure and sport horse sectors. We work closely with other equine health professionals to optimise results for our clients.

 

We are currently seeking a graduate veterinary physiotherapist or a final year veterinary physiotherapy student to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of horses and clients, gaining valuable experience and contributing to our team of experienced professionals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting equine physiotherapy assessments and treatments for performance and leisure horses

  • Performing equine biomechanics and gait analysis

  • Prescribing exercise programs for horses

  • Writing reports on horse treatments and progress

  • Creating educational social media content and blog posts

  • Maintaining accurate records of horse treatments and progress

  • Working individually as well as part of a team

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy or Post Graduate Diploma (recently qualified or in the final year)

  • Registration with IRVAP, NAVP, AHPR, ACPAT or RAMP (or willingness to register)

  • Own vehicle to travel to clients' yards

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other equine health professionals

  • Strong knowledge of equine anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics

  • Passion for improving equine performance and well-being

This position will start as a part-time role, working 1-2 days per week, but will progress to a full-time role. Working as either self-employed or employed will be considered. The successful candidate will undergo an initial trail / training period.
